Job Description

The job position has the responsibility of communicates on a regular basis with the electrical, civil, mechanical and structural engineers within the task in order to take care of any interdisciplinary obligation for the modifications or the implementation of projects.

The ideal candidate should have an exceptional knowledge in terms of Computer software, geosystems, integrated systems management, enterprise resources planning (ERP) and able to review specifications, drawings, and other documentation from contractors and consultants.

Senior Geotechnical Engineer - London, UK

Job Description

Due to an increase in workload, we are seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer. You will work on the geotechnical aspects of multidisciplinary projects, contributing to the design of a variety of geotechnical structures. You will liaise with teams of varying complexity and size and train/advice our junior engineers. The principal function of this position is to undertake project work involving all elements of geotechnical design/construction issues, providing technical input within that field as part of a multi-disciplinary team, or working separately on particular aspects of geotechnical design/construction providing high quality advice to the Graduate engineers.

Undertake geotechnical design work for a range of projects throughout the London including highways, energy, water, maritime, land development and building sectors. Identify and assist others in identifying and eliminating or mitigating work related and geotechnical hazards. Support, supervise and assess junior members of the team whilst supporting the higher management in managing projects as well as supporting business development. Supervise, train and mentor site geotechnical personnel.

Candidates will have a strong background in geotechnical calculations and design work, preparation of technical specifications and reports and in the planning, supervision and interpretation of ground investigations. You will be a capable manager able to lead design teams, deliver commissions and mentor junior engineers.

Essential Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Candidates should have a degree in Civil Engineering or Engineering Geology.
  • Candidate will have a minimum of 10 years experience in the construction industry.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.

Site/Setting Out Engineers (Control & Instrumentation) - London, UK

Job Description

Due to an increase in workload, we are seeking site/setting out engineers. As a Site/Setting Out Engineer you will be responsible for setting out all levels, ground works, concrete bases and steel frame for the schemes.

Main Duties will include Ensure Health, Safety and Environmental requirements, undertake surveying and setting out duties, check drawings and quantities and schedule selected materials for ordering from the procurement department. Plan the work and efficiently organise site operations in order to meet an agreed programme of deadlines. Liaise with any consultants and sub-contracts engaged in the project as necessary. Supervise and monitor the site labour force and monitor the work of any sub-contractors. Resolve any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise during the construction process.

Other duties,

- Arrange testing of materials

- Undertake the testing and calibration of instruments used

- Keep a Site Diary

- Fully interact with other members of the construction site team (team player)

- Liaise with other function/departmental managers

- Introduce improvements and innovation where appropriate to areas of responsibility

- Other duties as required by the Site Manager to facilitate construction of the works
